Cancer diseases
Our body has different types of cells which grow and multiply several times in a day to maintain normal function. Occasionally this cell division is affected and creates a wrong cell or an abnormal cell. These divide further in an uncontrolled way affecting the other parts of the body. These cells which divide abnormally are called cancer cells. These cells can locally infiltrate the adjacent organs or invade the blood and lymphatic system and cause spread or metastasis. The metabolic theory of cancer suggests that cancer originates from metabolic dysfunction in cells, particularly related to increased consumption of glucose and glutamine, increased glycolysis, changes in the use of metabolic enzyme isoforms, and increased secretion of lactate.
Cardiovascular diseases
Cardiovascular diseases claim 18.6 million lives each year
Cardiovascular disease is a class of diseases that affect the heart and blood vessels (veins and arteries). They are usually caused by fatty deposits that build up inside the arteries and result in an increased risk of blood clots, but can also be linked to damage in the arteries of organs like the brain, heart, kidneys and eyes. Strokes can be caused by bleeding from a blood vessel in the brain or from blood clots.
Gastrointestinal diseases
A gastrointestinal disease also known as digestive disorders is one that affects the gastrointestinal (GI) tract, the passage that runs from the mouth to the anus.
The digestive system is a key player in maintaining overall health as it performs the important job of breaking down food, absorbing nutrients and eliminating waste. The digestive system also protects us by preventing the entry of bacteria and toxins into the blood.
Autoimmune diseases
An autoimmune disease is a condition in which the immune system turns against the body and starts attacking normal tissues mistaking them for a foreign agent. Normally, the immune system can tell the difference between foreign agents and our own cells but in the case of an autoimmune disease, this distinguishing ability is lost causing the immune system to attack our own body.
Neurodegenerative diseases
Neurodegenerative diseases are a group of disorders characterized by the progressive loss of structure or function of neurons, the cells that make up the nervous system, including the brain and spinal cord. This degeneration of neurons leads to a gradual decline in cognitive, motor, and sometimes autonomic functions, depending on the specific disease. Neurodegenerative diseases can affect various parts of the nervous system and lead to severe disability or death.
Musculoskeletal diseases
Musculoskeletal diseases encompass a wide range of conditions that affect the muscles, bones, joints, tendons, ligaments, and other connective tissues in the body. These diseases can result from various causes, including injury, aging, genetic factors, autoimmune disorders, and infections.
Skin diseases
Skin diseases encompass a wide range of conditions that affect the skin, the body’s largest organ. These conditions can vary in severity from mild to life-threatening and can be caused by various factors.
we believe that skin diseases are an external manifestation of internal disharmony. Our skin is a reflection of internal health and as long as the internal environment remain uncorrected, these external manifestations seldom disappear on their own.
Reproductive diseases and hormone imbalances
Reproductive diseases and hormone imbalances are closely linked, as many reproductive health issues from or result in disruptions in hormone levels. Hormones are chemical messengers produced by glands in the endocrine system, and they regulate various bodily functions, including metabolism, growth, reproduction, and mood. Hormones like estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, luteinizing hormone (LH), follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), and others play critical roles in regulating the reproductive system. When these hormones are imbalanced, they can lead to a variety of reproductive diseases and symptoms.
