Far infrared light is in the frequency of invisible light that is generated naturally by the sun. Far Infrared rays cannot be perceived by our eyes but can be felt as a gentle radiant heat. FIR Saunas differ from conventional saunas in that the heat from a FIR Sauna penetrates much deeper (about 1.5 – 2 inches deep) and causes more sweat to be released.
Near infrared saunas use near-infrared (NIR) light to generate heat and induce sweating, differing from traditional saunas that use steam.
How is the treatment performed?
Turn on the sauna and let it heat up to your desired temperature. Sit down comfortably for around 30-45minutes. Drink plenty of water before, during, and after your sauna session to stay hydrated.
After the session-Allow your body to cool down slowly. Step out of the sauna and sit for a few minutes. Take a shower to wash off the sweat and toxins released during the session.
What health problems can Far Infra-red/ Near Infra-red sauna therapy be used for?
Detoxification:-
Sweating: Promotes sweating, which is believed to help eliminate toxins from the body through the skin.
Improved Circulation: Enhances blood flow, which may support the body’s natural detoxification processes.
Relaxation and Stress Relief:-
Muscle Relaxation: The heat helps relax muscles and relieve tension, promoting overall relaxation.
Stress Reduction: The soothing effect of the heat can help reduce stress and improve mental well-being.
Pain Relief:-
Muscle and Joint Pain: Near infrared heat can alleviate pain and stiffness in muscles and joints, making it beneficial for conditions such as arthritis or muscle soreness.
Improved Recovery: Supports the healing process by increasing blood flow to affected areas.
Skin Health:-
Improved Skin Appearance: The increased circulation and sweating may help improve skin tone and texture.
Acne Relief: May help with acne by promoting sweat and cleaning out pores.
Cardiovascular Health:-
Increased Heart Rate: Similar to the effects of moderate exercise, the heat can increase heart rate and improve cardiovascular function.
Weight Management:-
Caloric Burn: Increased heart rate and sweating may contribute to a temporary increase in calorie expenditure, though this should not replace regular exercise.
