Brief about the therapy

Prolozone works on the principle that the body has the natural ability to heal itself when the right nutrients are provided. In Prolozone, a cocktail of nutrients is injected into the affected area following which, Ozone gas is also injected. The injected nutrients enables faster healing of damaged ligaments, tendons and cartilage. Ozone increases the oxygenation of the affected area and promotes healing. The increase in blood flow brings in regenerative growth factors to the site of injury. 

The response to treatment varies from individual to individual and depends upon one’s healing ability and severity of injury. Some people will require only one or two injections while others may require more (in case of long standing injury)

How is the treatment performed?

The cocktail solution is injected into the affected area using a fine needle. Multiple injections may be required in a single session.

Mild soreness and swelling are common after the injections. Over-the-counter pain relievers and ice packs can help manage any discomfort.

What all health problems can this treatment be used for?

Chronic Pain Management:-

  • Joint Pain: Often used to treat chronic joint pain, including knee, shoulder, and hip pain.

  • Tendon Repair: Aims to repair and regenerate damaged tendons, which may help with conditions like tendinitis or tendinosis.

 

Osteoarthritis:-

  • Joint Degeneration: Prolotherapy may be used to manage symptoms of osteoarthritis by improving the strength and stability of the affected joints, potentially reducing pain and improving function.

 

Sports Injuries:-

  • Recovery and Rehabilitation: Used by athletes to accelerate healing of sports-related injuries, including sprains, strains, and chronic injuries that have not fully healed.

 

Degenerative Disc Disease:-

  • Spinal Discomfort: May be applied to help with degenerative disc disease by enhancing the healing of surrounding structures and reducing pain.
